24 January 2008. This will be the blog where I will be writing by chapter to chapter where you people will enjoy the reading. Many people came to the thought of why their life are fill with disappointment all the times, while other will be knocking the doors of heaven and asked God where are you in my crucial or pain times? I found that many of us have expected from their Christian faith and what they actually experience. From a steady diet of books, sermon, live preacher preaching encourage words, wonderful testimonies, all promising triumph and success, they learn to expect dramatic evidence of God working in their lives. What happen if they do not see such evidence? They will feel disappointment, betrayal, and often guilt.
A friend of mine back in my secondary school said, "I kept hearing the gospel of God and personal relationship with Jesus Christ". But I found to my dismay that it is unlike any other personal relationship. I never saw God, or heard him, of felt him or experience the most basic ingredient of having intimacy with God.Disappointment occurs when the actual experience of something falls far short of what we anticipate. I understand that there is some people, especially disappointed people, have a little tolerance for the bible or have no interest in it. But what better place to begin that by letting god speaks to him."Awake, O Lord! Why do you sleep? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever. Why do you hide your face? -Psalm 44:23-24.
